Recipe by Melie’s Kitchen
Ingredients:
6 white Lebanese breads (I use the Jabal brand, you can get them from the supermarket)
2 Tbsp za’atar
Olive Oil
Sea salt
Method:
Preheat your oven to 190°C fan bake. Line a large oven tray with baking paper.
Drizzle each side of the Lebanese bread generously with olive oil (about 1 Tbsp each side), then brush the oil into the bread with a pastry brush. Place three of the Lebanese breads onto the lined oven tray (make sure they aren’t overlapping). Season well with a few grinds of sea salt. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, until very golden brown and crispy (keep an eye on them as they can burden easily, but avoid under-baking them otherwise they won’t be crispy enough). Remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle the hot Lebanese bread with half of the za’atar. Allow them to cool down completely on a wire rack. Repeat with the three remaining Lebanese breads and remaining za’atar.
